MTG BlackJack for Avination - How To Play

BlackJack Home | Release Notes | Configuration Support | How To Play

Welcome!

Thanks for your interest in playing BlackJack on the virtual world's best and most exciting BlackJack table. We'll get you started in no time.

This page assumes you already know the basics of how to play BlackJack. If you don't we highly recommend you take a look at this site before you play.

Knowing The Rules :

Remember all the way back a few sentences ago when we said this was the best BlackJack table? Well one of the reasons is because the table can be setup a number of different ways allowing for more exciting and varied game play. Most game owners are good people who will clearly list the rules of the game on a sign posted near the game. However their are some bad owners out there who may try to trick you into playing a game that's not setup the way they say it is.

Make sure whenever playing somewhere new to check the games setup before you play. To do this click anywhere on the table top to get the player menu. You must click on playing surface of the game to get the menu. Once there, you will see a button that says "Rules". This will bring up a window showing you all of the rules setup currently on the table your about to play.

REMEMBER, this is a scrollable list, so make sure you scroll down and see all the options and how they are set.

Have A Seat :

Click on any of the open seats to play, once there you will be given a bet card which will say that you need to deposit money. To deposit money just right click (command click on Macs) on the game and select pay.

The amount you pay is a deposit and can be cashed out at anytime by clicking on the cash out button to the left of your bet card (or cards if playing). You can add additional money at anytime during the game.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any amount in your balance less than 1 is lost when cashing out. So if you have a balance of 5.25, you will only be paid 5.

Once you deposit money, you will see your balance under your name on the table.

If a game is in progress, you will need to wait until it has been completed before you can join in.

Get Comfortable :

You can scroll through three camera settings by using your left and right arrow keys. If you have trouble seeing or would prefer a different camera angle. You can use your camera controls to set your own camera setting. Once you have used your manual camera controls, the game will no longer auto cam your view during the game. To restore auto cam, press the escape key two times.

Making A Wager (Betting) :

Unlike some other games, this game does not use credits. All values are in real Care Coins (C$).

The bet card is made up of two parts, the left side button panel and the bet card on the right side. To make a wager, select the item you want to wager on, on the left side, then touch the chips on the right side that you want to bet. You can click a chip multiple times to add more and you can use any combination of chips to place your wager.

If you want to play 2 hands at the same time or wager on the Royal Match, you must place a wager on hand 1 first. Also, if you place wager on the Royal Match side bet and you are playing two hands, you must make the side bet for both hands, which will be done automatically for you.

In the top right of the bet pad is a multicolor circle, this is the timer, when this circle goes away completely, the game will start unless no one has placed a bet.

If your done betting, click the done button, once all players have clicked done, they timer will automatically end. You can sit out a hand by just pressing done without betting.

The Royal Match :

The Royal Match side bet is available to play on all MTG BlackJack tables. This is an extra bet that you place at the start of the game and is dealt with completely separately than the rest of the game. There are three ways to win the Royal Match bet.

Royal Match
A King and Queen as your first two cards that are of the same suit (ie. both hearts).

Suited BlackJack
BlackJack with two cards of the same suit.

Easy Match
Any two cards of the same suit as the first two cards.

Be sure to check the rules (explained above) to see what the table is paying for these wins.

Insurance / Even Money :

If the dealer's top card is an Ace, you will be offered insurance. Insurance is another side bet in which you are betting that the dealer does have BlackJack. You have the option of saying YES or NO to the insurance for each hand you played. The active hand for which you are being asked is shown by white cards, all others will be grey. Once you have answered, if you have additional hands it will ask again for the additional hands. If no option is selected by the time the timer runs out, no will be selected for every hand. Once all players have answered this question for each hand the timer will end automatically.

Even Money :
If you have BlackJack for any particular hand you will be offered "Even Money" instead of Insurance. If you select yes, you will immediately be paid 1 to 1 for your hand and the hand will be removed from play.

Game Time :

You've made it this far, so you probably get the idea of how this works by now. But just in case is a run down of how to play...

If the dealer has BlackJack, thats it, the game ends and all players lose or push depending on their hands. If you bet on Insurance, you would be paid at this time. If you bet on the Royal Match, you can still win, even if the dealer has BlackJack!

If the dealer did not have BlackJack you will now be presented a list of options to the left of your cards. These options can include, HIT, STAND, SPLIT, and DOUBLE. Again we are assuming you know what these options do.

Like with insurance, your active hand is the white one, all others will either be:

Yellow - Means You Took Even Money on Insurance
Green - Means You Got BlackJack (way to go!)
Red - Means you busted (went over 21)
Grey - Any other hand still in play but not active.

Once you stand, bust or double, you will be given the options for the next hand if you have one and it will be highlighted white.

You can have up to 4 hands at a time, regardless of how you got that many. This means you can split 1 hand into 4. Split 2 hands into 2, or 1 hand into 3 and not split the other (if you played 2 to start with).

We hope all this made sense! Good luck and have fun!
